Greenland: The Spirit of the Land and its People-talk by Kari Herbert
Sun 8th March 3pm-4.30pm
The Hive
Kari Herbert lived as a small child with a remote community of Polar Inuit in Northwest Greenland. Taken to the High Arctic at just ten months old by her father, the polar explorer Sir Wally Herbert, she grew up among hunter-gatherer families, learning the rhythms of a life lived in close relationship with land, ice, animals, and spirit. Her first steps were taken on the tundra; her first words spoken in the local dialect. She was embraced as one of their own.
Throughout her childhood and early adulthood, Kari returned regularly to the community, witnessing both the endurance of traditional Inuit culture and the profound changes brought by modernisation. The result was her book The Explorer’s Daughter, published by Penguin.
In recent weeks, Greenland has once again become the focus of international attention, which has caused deep anxiety for its people. Kari has felt called to share her lived experience and stories, so that others may better understand why protecting this beautiful nation is so important.
In this stunningly-illustrated talk, Kari reflects on the spirit of Greenland and its people -exploring Inuit traditions and their spiritual and practical relationship with the land. She also speaks to the present moment: the accelerating effects of climate change on the Arctic, and the growing external pressures on Greenland’s land and resources.

As we tone we activate our chakras and allow sound to travel through our body releasing energetic blockages as we go. It is an ancient and simple language.
ABSOLUTELY NO singing experience is necessary. We come together with intent and openess and deep listening and create a coherent field that is known as unity consciousness
Tending Inner Tides: A Monthly Grief Circle with Alexa Davies
Mon 13th and 27th April 6.30pm-8.30pm
The Hive
A twice monthly/ monthly circle to gather in grief together. To tend to our soul waters, inner tides and the waves within our being.
As if pouring a little water out each time we gather, to create a little space and to be reminded we don't have to walk with grief alone. There is no right or wrong way to be with grief. Grief, like water, rises and falls, sometimes still, sometimes wild, sometimes far away, sometimes so close. You are welcome, come as you are, be with what wants to be felt, witnessed, and remembered. You may choose to be in silence or to share a little, as we explore ways of being with grief together, guided by the seasons, cycles and rhythms of nature. This is not a therapy space, or a space to fix or give advice. This is a space to simply be with our grief together in community.
